Suzanne Grandt is an experienced litigator and animal rights activist based in San Francisco, California. Her dedication to justice in all of its forms has led Suzanne Grandt to pursue a career in law and a life-long dedication to veganism. 

Suzanne Grandt graduated from Boston University at the top of her class, and has since become a renowned legal industry professional. With experience in constitutional and administrative law, government ethics, legislation, and compliance analysis, Suzanne has risen through the ranks and currently serves as the Assistant General Counsel for the State Bar of California.

Previously, Suzanne Grandt served as a litigation assistant for several law groups, including Jones Day and Dentons US LLP. Much of her initial law firm experiences included pre-trial work, such as preparing depositions and conducting research, but she was able to bring her talents and analytic mind to the courtroom. 

In 2015, Suzanne Grandt was honored to become the Assistant Attorney General for the state of New York. In this capacity, Suzanne Grandt was able to act as lead counsel for New York officials and agencies. Her greatest accomplishment was representing the New York State Department of Health in a nuanced class-action lawsuit. 

Today, Suzanne Grandt is employed by the State Bar of California as Assistant General Counsel. This position allows Suzanne to provide in-house legal advice and services to the State Bar and its peripheral members. Even with her high post, Suzanne Grandt is sure to look out for every individual in California, hoping to improve legal services and ensure their rights are protected.

Suzanne Grandt’s latest work emphasizes her specialization in compliance law. After a breach of compliance amongst state lawyers was discovered, Suzanne took the lead in rectifying the issue. Her tireless research and solution-driven mindset prove her passion and talents in the world of law.

Outside of work, Suzanne Grandt is an animal lover and enjoys reading and researching animal law. Additionally, Suzanne is a fitness junkie, having competed in several marathons and visited every MLB stadium in the US! She currently lives in the Bay Area with her partner. When her schedule allows it, Suzanne Grandt loves to travel away from San Francisco and try new vegan foods across the United States!
